Tourism is one major sector of every counties economy that is identified by many developing countries as a priority sector for the restore of their economies. The then Gold Coast, now Ghana, is no different and the government has invested to enhance the industry to promote socioeconomic development. Ghana has so many tourist destination and very attractive, Which need more efforts to be promoted and showcased to the world through many tours,visit and education.
On Tuesday 28th July 2021, at the Koforidua Guest Hotel, Hausa Tours one among the very best Tourism agency in the Country, lead by
Fuseini Nawaru and
Regina Dzamashie met a team of renowned staff from Joy Dadi Multimedia, in persons of Owoahene Acheampong,
Isaac Akwetey Okunor,
N. Kwaku Solomon, and
Bekai Edward to agree on a five year term strategic plan on promoting Tourism in the Region.
Speaking at the media lunch was the head of Hausa Tours Mr Fuseini, who explained that the five year contract is directed at promoting tourism in the Region through organising fun trips, Tourism Exbitions and Awards Night as well.The CEO of Hausa Tours added that, the project seeks to Award excellence and energize the public interest in the Travel and Tourism industry in the country. He also lamented on the facts that the sector has been hard hit by the global pandemic COVID ~ 19, and therefore the agency, Hausa Tours has strategical measures laid in place to see to the project becoming a befitting one for people to patronize.
Eastern Region, has so many tourist sites but just few, like the Aburi Gardens, Boti Falls, Umbrella Rock, Tetteh Quarshie Farms, among others, could be known to the public, therefore there is the need for a reputable media house to be on board to broadcast to the people and showcase these beautiful places to the world.
Mr. Owoahene Acheampong from the Joy Dadi Multimedia also addressed the occasion discussing how important his firm knows of Tourism to the country and the Region, which his company operates within, he identified the social involvement and how it helps the economic to grow, therefore it was a great pleasure when Joy Dadi Multimedia was chosen to be in partnership to help promote Tourism. He disclosed Joy Dadi Multimedia has eight actively working media platforms, therefore it’s a step in a right direction for both parties to work in hand to help promote a vital sector of the economy.
Mr Frederick Rudolph Agyei, the Eastern Regional Manager of the Ghana Tourism Authority also graced the occassion to express how pleased and happy the Authority is, to hear of these outstanding bond between the tours companies to help dish out the vision of domestic tourism in the Region. Mr. Frederick adviced that as both parties embark on this journey, they should not lose focus on the consumer whiles on promoting Tourism by projecting Eastern Region as the most exciting place in Ghana. The GTA regional boss further stated that, with the right approach and mindset, the vision is achievable.
